Telefun is a text-message relay service. You text Telefun, and Telefun passes your message or question to another student at your school who has also signed up. They reply to Telefun, and Telefun passes the reply back to you. You never exchange phone numbers, and you never message each other directly.
Telefun is an AI service, not a person.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to verify an email address at a participating school. You can only exchange messages with people who verified an address at the same school.
One account per email address. Do not sign up on someone else's behalf.
You opt in by texting Telefun first. Telefun will not message you before you do. Once enrolled, you will receive messages that other students at your school ask Telefun to deliver to you, and replies from Telefun itself.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving messages, START to resume, and HELP for help.
Telefun carries blunt, personal, and unflattering messages. That is the point of it, and being insulted by a friend through Telefun is a normal use of the service. There are, however, things Telefun will not carry.
You may not use Telefun to send:
- Threats of violence, including threats of sexual violence
- Sexual content involving minors
- Sexual content directed at someone who has not invited it
- Someone's home address, schedule, or whereabouts
- Anything illegal to transmit
Messages are automatically screened before they are delivered. A message that fails this check is not sent, is not delivered to the recipient, and is returned to you with an explanation. Repeated attempts may result in your account being suspended.
You are responsible for what you send. Telefun relays your words as you wrote them.
You may stop using Telefun at any time by replying STOP. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, and we may withdraw the service at any time.
Telefun is provided as-is. We do not guarantee that messages will be delivered, delivered promptly, or delivered to the person you intended. Telefun identifies recipients by name using an AI model, and it can be wrong. Do not use Telefun for anything urgent, confidential, or important.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alpha Exploration Co. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Telefun, or for the content of any message sent by another user.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above.
